Move to Include™ is an award-winning national initiative to promote disability inclusion, representation, and accessibility in public media. Founded and led by WXXI in Rochester, NY, and built on the principle of “Nothing About Us Without Us”, this initiative spotlights the lived experiences of people with disabilities and highlights important issues around disability, including education, healthcare, housing, employment, and more – through television, radio, news, community events, and digital media.

Along with our community partners and subject matter experts, Move to Include™works in a co-creative process to produce content for the public media system, ensuring authentic representation both in front of and behind the camera. For our station partners, we provide on-going training and resources to support this important work in their own communities, convening a national community of practice around disability inclusion and leading to systems level change within public media.

For more information or to partner with us, please contact movetoinclude@wxxi.org.
